Trips are sold in three lengths, four, six or eight hours, and the same ladder applies whether the target is bass, crappie or striped bass. Bass and crappie bookings are priced for one to two anglers with an extra charge for a third; striped bass bookings carry one to three anglers before the surcharge starts. The guide boat is a 23 foot Carolina Skiff Ultra SS with a 250 horsepower Suzuki four stroke, and the tackle aboard includes custom rods built by a regional rod maker. Almost nothing needs to come from the customer: snacks, drinks, fishing equipment and bait are all supplied, and the only item the operation asks anglers to bring is a cooler for taking fish home. A second small cooler for extra food and drink is fine, anything from rain jackets to winter gear is worth packing depending on the forecast, and the guides will stow whatever a party brings aboard. Bookings are taken by phone. Between the three species the structure stays consistent: bass and crappie trips match each other on length and price, while the striper trips sit a step above on both party size and price.
