Where this boat launches is decided by conditions rather than by a fixed home port. Depending on where the fish are holding, a trip may start from the State Docks Road ramp at Bayou La Batre, from Fort Morgan or from Dauphin Island, which puts the operation within reach of anglers coming from Mobile, Daphne, Fairhope, Gulf Shores and Foley.

The fishing itself is light tackle inshore work along the Alabama Gulf Coast, with speckled trout and redfish as the primary targets and flounder, tripletail, bluefish, sheepshead and white trout among the other species named. The vessel is a 21 foot Kenner center console with a Yamaha outboard, a Minn Kota trolling motor and updated marine electronics and navigation used to locate fish.

Charters are sold as a single all inclusive package. Bait, tackle, the Alabama fishing license, ice, bottled water and fish cleaning at the end of the day are covered by the trip price, so nothing is billed separately on the dock. The rate is quoted for the boat with a per head charge above three anglers.

Captain Theo came to this through the offshore fleet. He worked as a deckhand on the Terolyn out of Dauphin Island from the age of 16, bottom fishing and billfishing, stacking skiffs and running to the Chandeleur Islands for speckled trout and redfish. He took a 100 ton USCG captain license at 21, then ran summer fishing trips, worked oil boats and spent a season on a private fishing yacht out of Isla Mujeres in Mexico before returning to light tackle inshore work.

Trips are pitched at mixed groups. The operator states he will teach technique and methods to newer anglers as readily as run experienced fishermen to productive spots. Booking is handled by phone.
