Every trip on this Juneau boat is private, with a six passenger cap and no mixing of parties once a booking is made. Captain Alan and his wife run the business, described on the site as locally owned and 20 years in operation. The boat is Narwhal, a 2020 aluminum 29 foot North River Sea-Hawk S series. Fishing charters come in 3, 4, 6 and 8 hour lengths and are priced for the boat rather than the head, with the rate stepping up once a party passes three guests: a 4 hour salmon trip, a 4 hour halibut trip, a 3 hour catch and release halibut run, and 6 or 8 hour combination trips covering halibut and salmon together. Multi day trips are quoted by phone. Whale watching is booked separately in 2 and 3 hour lengths, with extra hours available at a set rate. Tour time is measured on the water and does not include the ground transport between downtown Juneau and the dock, and a 5 percent city sales tax is added at checkout. The operators note that a king salmon stamp is needed to keep a king in June, and they can connect guests with a local processor. Trip protection is sold as a separate charge that allows cancellation up to 48 hours out.
